Long Beach, MS, MARCH 19, 2003—Triton, a wholly-owned operating company of Dover Corporation and the leading manufacturer of off-premise ATMs, announced two new ATMs that incorporate the latest computing platform technology to provide the most cost-competitive feature-rich ATMs available in the market. The RL5000 Series and FT5000 Series, available July 2003, represent Triton’s continuing commitment to offering innovative ATMs at competitive price points for the retail and financial services markets.
Windows® Intel X Scale™ PC Platform is a robust technological design that provides increased stability and improved speed while maintaining reliability and low cost of ownership. The operating system supports Windows file formats for adding custom logos and advertisements. In addition, both ATMs feature Triton’s completely custom designed motherboard.
The RL5000 Lobby Series features an eye-catching 10.4 inch color LCD screen and an expansive range of dispenser mechanisms that enable owners to select the mechanism best suited to the traffic and volume of the location, making it a cost effective choice for both retail and financial services markets.
The FT5000 Series is Triton’s first Through the Wall ATM. Designed as a walk-up or drive-up unit, the FT5000 Series is a cost competitive, high performance, flexible approach to complying with ADA and Triple DES compliance issues. The FT5000 is fully weatherized for outside installation and includes an optional sunlight-readable screen.
“Triton is dedicated to providing its customers with high quality cash-delivery systems that set the standard for the industry, while maintaining the low cost of ownership Triton ATMs are recognized for,” said Brian Kett, President of Triton. “The RL5000 and FT5000 Series represent a continuation of that tradition. These new models provide our customers with a platform that allows for flexibility in offering more services and capabilities on the ATM platform like Triton Waves™.”
Both the RL5000 and FT5000 Series offer a full range of options that can be configured to suit the functional and economic requirements of any location. Operational costs can be adjusted depending on which mechanism, note cassette, and communications offerings are selected. Standard features include an attention getting 10.4 inch color LCD screen, plus an 80mm thermal printer presenter. Both units include a USB device port for connection of devices such as a laptop, four USB master ports for slave devices that enable easier and faster download of advertising screens, and two PC card slots that support devices such as a PCMCIA 56k-baud modem. Both Series meet all proposed and current ADA regulations and include TTS (text to speech) audio capability, encrypting pin pad (EPP) and are Triple DES compliant.
Following the highly successful introduction of the 9100 Series ATM last summer, the RL5000 and FT5000 are the continuation of a commitment to create and bring products to the market that meet and exceed the needs of Triton customers at a speed that keeps pace with the changing market needs.
